The aircraft carrier Wasp was in town for the past few days as part of Harborfest. It turns out that it is the 9th ship to bear the name Wasp…the eighth was sunk in the battle of Guadalcanal in the pacific front in WWII. It sure is a great sight docked up against the city skyline.
